The gathering of food and people; woven together to represent the fabric of Hawke's Bay. Woven from the leaves of NZ flax or harakeke, kete are baskets integral to the gathering and sharing of food - kai and kaimoana. A strong flax fibre used in kete reflects the strength of our people and the binding nature of relationships. The woven kete represents the patchwork of the Heretaunga Plains, home of Hawke's Bay Airport.
Kete Kai presents an array of unique, contemporary, delicious food and coffee in a comfortable and relaxed environment.
